چکیده

A 42-year-old man presented with right hemiparesis. Brain imaging showed acute infarction in the left middle cerebral artery territory and a thrombosed aneurysm (figure). Extracranial carotid artery was normal. EKG and echocardiography were normal. Holter monitoring for 24 hours revealed no cardiac source of embolism. Cerebral infarction is a rare complication of unruptured aneurysm.1 The imaging changes over time strongly suggest artery-to-artery embolism due to thrombosed unruptured aneurysm.

Giant LV Thrombose and Thrombosed Coronary Aneurysm in an Infant with Kawasaki Disease

Background Kawasaki disease (KD) also known as mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome is the febrile and self-limited vasculitis that occurs in children of all ages, especially younger than five years of age. Here, we describe a case of Kawasaki disease with coronary artery aneurysm and a big clot in LV with a diameter of 1.5 cm. <stron...

Thrombosed Large Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm Mimicking an Intra-Axial Brain Tumor: Case Report and Review of Literature

This case report presents a fully thrombosed large aneurysm of middle cerebral artery mimicking an intra-axial brain tumor in a 54-year-old male patient. A small mass like lesion was found incidentally in right frontal area. Brain magnetic resonance image showed dark signal intensity on T2-weighted images and peripheral high signal intensity on T1-weighted images with peripheral rim enhancement...

Thrombosed pulmonary artery aneurysm. A rare cause of a high-probability lung scan.

The high-probability ventilation-perfusion lung scan is accepted as supportive of pulmonary embolism and often negates further diagnostic evaluation; however, there are processes that mimic the clinical presentation and radiographic findings of pulmonary emboli, including a unilateral segmental or greater perfusion defect. We present the findings in a patient whose presentation and ventilation-...

Huge Intramural Hematoma in a Thrombosed Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm: A Case Report

We describe a case of a huge intramural hematoma in a thrombosed middle cerebral artery aneurysm. A 47-year-old female patient with liver cirrhosis and thrombocytopenia presented to the neurosurgical unit with a 5-day history of headache and cognitive dysfunction. Magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography of the brain showed a thrombosed aneurysm located in the right middle cerebral ar...

Serial neuroimaging of a growing thrombosed giant aneurysm of the distal anterior cerebral artery--case report.

An 81-year-old female presented with a giant aneurysm of the distal anterior cerebral artery (A3) which grew from a small saccular aneurysm to a huge aneurysm within 36 months before manifesting as a mass lesion. The thrombosed portion of the aneurysm showed growth, whereas the aneurysmal cavity did not change in size. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed new bleeding in th...
